We use CARFAX to check a vehicle’s history: CARFAX includes a database that is one of the largest and most comprehensive vehicle record checking systems available in the world. CARFAX uses over a Billion sources to gather detailed information on over 750 million motor vehicle history records. Such detailed information can include title history, Odometer rollback/tampering, lemon checks and Accident histories. In most states these are updated monthly. What our Buyers should expect from us
Our buyers should expect reasonable wear and tear. Reasonable wear should include suspension and mechanical items such as brakes, axles, shocks and seals and gaskets. When a vehicle that is nearly new or still under manufacturers warranty, it should be expected to be free of any mechanical defects or leaks. If a vehicle is older then 3 years, out of warranty, or has over 30,000 miles then one should expect seepage at hoses, seals, gearboxes and gaskets. Seepages are part of normal aging and considered a normal part of wear. Seepages are not the same as leaks. A leak is where fluid is running down and collecting on the floor in a puddle.
Our cars are checked here by trained Audi Technicians or ASE certified mechanics to make sure it is a solid running car. Beyond that, your expectations should decrease according to age and mileage. Albeit we sell used automobiles with over 3,650 moving parts and we have a wide range of buyers with hundreds of different expectations therein. If you have any reservations, we will allow the vehicle to be looked at by an unbiased certified mechanic. Any inspection must be arranged and “pre-paid” in advance by the potential buyer and done at an approved location by the seller. Please keep in mind that an independent-certified mechanic would inspect and make the most detailed inspections, but will also be extremely critical and often detail every single thing that it would take to make a vehicle "brand new" again. Their job is to “sell service” while not always taking into account reasonable wear and age for a given vehicle. The cost that dealer endures will often be 2 to 4 times what the repairs or maintenance would cost if performed by an excellent outside service facility. A dealer will normally repair an entire system when a problem is found; where an experienced ASE mechanic may do a patch and fix, and in some cases, save thousands of dollars.
